13 COMMON FUNCTIONS
(2) Precautions during control
(a) Parameter initialization is only executed when the remote station READY
signal [RX(n+7)B] is OFF.
(A warning "In remote station READY" (warning code: 111) will occur if
executed when the remote station READY signal [RX(n+7)B] is ON.)
(b) A "D75P2 reset" or "power restart" must be carried out after the parameters
are initialized. (Parameter initialization is carried out for the D75P2 "flash
ROM" and "OS memory". Data stored in the "buffer memory" will not be
initialized.)
(c) The flash ROM can be written up to 100,000 times. The flash ROM cannot
be written after 100,000 writing cycles.
(d) During execution of a parameter initialization request, a transient
transmission request such as the dedicated command (RIRD, RIWT) cannot
be accepted. A "response error" (error code: B404) will occur on the master
station side if a transient transmission request is executed during execution
of a parameter initialization request. If there is a possibility that a transient
transmission request may be executed during execution of a parameter
initialization request, create a sequence program so that a transient
transmission request will be executed again at occurrence of a response
error. (The processing time necessary for normal completion of parameter
initialization is a maximum of 35s. Use this as a guideline for setting the retry
count and response monitoring time.)
Important
Do not turn the power ON/OFF; reset, etc., during parameter initialization. The flash
ROM data may be corrupted.
(3) Initializing the parameters
To use the "parameter initialization function", set the data shown in the following
table, and write it to the D75P2 using the sequence program.
Parameter initialization is carried out when the data is written to the D75P2.
